I use software developed in C/C++ by Vaibhav Thakkar to generate the Sudoku puzzles, solutions and ratings used in Pasquale's Pre-Penciled Sudoku Grids. Thank you Vaibhav Thakkar. (Copyright (c) 2018 Vaibhav Thakkar. https://github.com/vaithak/Sudoku-Generator/blob/master/LICENSE ).
I modified the C/C++ to generate GhostScript data files containing puzzles, ratings and solutions. These are then consumed by a GhostScript program that produces an image of the Pre-Penciled grid and the final PDF.
I wrote programs in C/C++ and GhostScript to calculate the candidate lists.
I have no clue about Pasquale.
For 2025 I decided to use the QQWing Sudoku generator written in C++ (https://qqwing.com/download.html).
I also added a copy of the puzzle at the bottom of the grid that you can copy and paste.
